The Goal of Yoga

The main goal of Yoga is to minimize the mind's activities so we can experience and reflect the peace and joy that is our true Self.

I have learned never to neglect the body, as it is our most important instrument. Our bodies are necessary for everything we do. It is challenging to experience inner peace and joy if all we feel are aches and pains.

It isn't easy to purify the body without purifying the mind... and vice-versa!!!

Integral Yoga Hatha

So many elements of Yoga & Ayurveda bring me to experience my True Self.

Integral Yoga is a classical school of Yoga that teaches traditional practices that have been handed down from ancient yogis of the Saraswati lineage.

The system of Hatha Yoga from Integral Yoga is one of the main elements on my journey that brings me back hOMe every time.

Sometimes, I begin my practice with either my body aching, my mind talking loudly, or both! As I move through the Integral Yoga sequence, I witness the body surrendering to softness and the mind to silence. That which witnesses expand, and "little me" dissolves into the stillness and quietness of the now.

Integral Yoga Hatha has a sequence that takes us into a physical and mental stillness, leading us to experience profound peace and well-being.

The practice is approached like meditation in action. By doing so, we can discover and adopt the most effective flow of energy that allows us to strike a balance between exerting the right amount of effort and surrendering to the process. This helps us enhance awareness of the interconnections between our body, mind, and spirit and reach unity.

It is a holistic system that promotes personal transformation at all levels - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
